Bleeding is a loss of blood from the body and can occur from minor injuries, such as small cuts to major injuries involving the body’s main arteries and veins. While most small cuts do not present any danger severe bleeding can result in shock, falling blood pressure, unconsciousness, and eventual death. Bleeding wounds can be particularly alarming and upsetting. Whilst most small cuts do not present any real danger, larger wounds can.
The videos have been developed in conjunction with and supported by the leading first aid and pediatric specialists from around the world including the world famous Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and St. John Ambulance.
